HAD High Performance Camp Behaviour & Disclaimer Policy

To ensure the safety, professionalism, and positive experience of all attendees, the following attendance and behaviour policy applies to all participants:

  1. 1. Attendance

  • Full attendance is expected if you have RSVP’d ‘Yes’. If you need to leave early/arrive late, please advise Bek on 0408957849

  • Any unavoidable absences or late arrivals must be communicated in advance to Bek on 0408957849

  • Participants must arrive on time, prepared with all required gear and equipment for both on-field and off-field sessions.

  • Attendance is critical not only for individual development but also in showing commitment and professionalism in front of recruiters and special guests.

  • If a participant needs to leave the camp, a guardian (listed in the Medical & Emergency Contact Form) will need to come collect them from La Trobe Sports Stadium. A HAD staff member will walk you to your guardian and/or with the participant until they have been collected by their guardian (please contact Bek to learn specifically where we will be within LTSS as we will be moving between the Basketball courts, Gym, Oval and Pavilion throughout the day)

  1. 2. Behaviour

  • All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, mature, and responsible manner at all times—on and off the field.

  • Disrespectful, aggressive, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour towards coaches, staff, facility personnel, guests, or fellow participants will not be tolerated.

  • Players are to follow all instructions given by HAD staff, guest coaches, and facility staff throughout the duration of the camp.

  1. 3. Code of Conduct

  • By attending this camp, participants agree to:

    • Represent HAD with integrity and professionalism.

    • Abide by all Facility rules and respect the facilities at LTSS.

  • HAD is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.

    • All HAD staff in attendance hold current Working With Children Checks (WWCCs) and operate in accordance with HAD’s child safety and safeguarding policies.

    • All safeguarding practices are aligned with relevant legal and ethical standards to protect the wellbeing of young athletes.

    • HAD will ensure that staff trained in First Aid and CPR are present on-site and available for the duration of the camp to respond promptly to any incidents or medical needs.

    • Any concerns regarding child safety should be reported immediately to a HAD staff member or through our formal feedback process.

  1. 5. Drugs and Alcohol Policy

  • To ensure the health, safety, and professionalism of all involved, HAD maintains a strict zero tolerance policy regarding the use of alcohol and illicit drugs at all programs, events, and activities.

Participants are expected to attend HAD-run programs, events, or activities without being under the influence of alcohol. All HAD staff are equally bound by this policy. Staff members are expected to model the professional standards we set for our participants and will not consume or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol during any HAD-run activity, including overnight events.

  • Any breach of this policy may result in immediate removal from the event and/or further disciplinary action, including exclusion from future HAD programs.
