Drafted: Georgia Knight Joins Collingwood at Pick 26 in the 2024 AFLW Draft

17 December 2024

HAD Football client Georgia Knight has been drafted by Collingwood at Pick 26 in the 2024 AFLW National Draft.

Georgia grew up "soccer mad", dreaming of playing for the Matildas, before switching codes to Australian rules football. She played her junior footy at Monbulk, then starred for the Eastern Ranges in the Coates Talent League, kicking 27 goals in 16 games, and kicked five goals for Vic Metro at Marvel Stadium.

Not sure being drafted was even possible, Georgia reached out to HAD Director Brad Jenkinson two years before the draft. Together they worked on her game, her preparation and the professional habits that elite programs expect. In Georgia's words: "I would not be playing for Collingwood without Brad."

Georgia made her AFLW debut for Collingwood against West Coast in round eight, 2025. She has also given back through HAD, mentoring primary school students in our HAD in Schools program and coaching young footballers with HAD Football in Melbourne.

Congratulations, Georgia. We're so proud of you.
